This is a seven-and-a-bit mile, figure-of-eight walk through Afan Forest Park on one of the more moderate and lower-level walks of the trails available to walk in the valley.  The first loop takes in some iconic landmarks connected to the Welsh actor Richard Burton and the viaduct and aqueduct that dominate the area.  The second loop is through the beautiful forestry of the Afan Valley, which is known as ‘Little Switzerland’ due to its Alpine-like appearance, following both sides of the River Afan.

No styles to cross en route,  A great walk for dogs.  Can be walked in trainers.

The lunch stop will be quite late in the walk, about three quarters of the way at the visitor centre.  We will make a couple of refreshment breaks on the way around.
