Mount Keen from Glen Esk
Mount Keen.
Mount Keen is the most easterly Munro, and quite a remote hill but is accessible from the end of the public road up Glen Esk at Invermark. Mount keen is a conical hill with a rocky top and has no particular difficulties. Views on a clear day will be extensive over Angus and Aberdeenshire. About 17km, 11 miles on tracks and paths, 6 - 7 hours walking, c 800m of ascent. This is a mountain walk so expect some steep sections, muddy paths and boggy sections.
