Mount Saint Bernard’s Abbey circular
A circular walk with some beautiful views that takes us through prettier parts of the Charnwood forest via the Cistercian Monastery of Mount St Bernard. Whilst a lot of the walking is through forestry there are parts of open fields and along a reservoir. Very hilly for the East Midlands, we will walk past slate Torrs that feel more like you are in Devon or the Lake District than Leicestershire. The walk is based near Coalville, North West Leicestershire, so not far from the border with Warwickshire.
