Gifford and Yester Castle

This is a walk in an area we've not explored before that starts in the pretty village of Gifford, not far from Haddington in East Lothian.  The walk follows Gifford Water on core paths to Danskine Loch, and then takes a side trip to visit the ruins of Yester Castle.  9 miles undulating with c400ft of climbing.  Paths can and probably will be be muddy.  You'll need boots or shoes with a good tread.  There is a nice café in Gifford for refreshments after the walk if we're back in time.
