Mole Gap and Polesden Lacey
Mole Gap and Polesden Lacey - An 8 mile walk through a surprisingly secluded part of the North Downs, near the former home of birth control pioneer Marie Stopes and Polesden Lacey with its royal and theatrical connections. There are fine views across to Box Hill and later north towards London. This is an up and down walk but with only one short steep section. It has a mixture of wooded and open walking.
Bring a packed lunch and something to drink - no shops on route. Public transport access: there is a pleasant 1.5 mile partly riverside walk along the Mole Gap Trail from Leatherhead station to the meeting point.
