A summer favourite walk around Aldeburgh with picnic on the beach and opportunity for a swim. Going north up to Thorpeness in the afternoon then round part of the mere and back on the track of the old railway line.

Bring drinks and some food, there is a very good place on the beach for smoked seafood near where we will picnic. There are also shops like the co op in the town if needed.

Dogs are not allowed on the busy central part of the beach so we use the quieter sections either side and use `Crag Path to walk between the two.
