We started the walk by walking through the pretty village of Old Bursledon and then a mixture of fields and woods to reach an equally attractive Hamble le Rice where we stopped for a picnic and coffee. Taking the Pink Ferry we crossed the Estuary zig zagging between the yachts of varying sizes.
Walking back along the River Hamble on a narrow path with the River to our left and Nature Bird Park lakes to our right we viewed the thousand yachts moored up. After finishing the walk we retired to the Jolly Roger pub and viewed yet more yachts.
The weather stayed dry and conditions were perfect for the 7 of us
