  • TerrainThis part of Warwickshire is quite flat, although the walk has a couple of gentle inclines. The paths are rough in places, with a few stiles and potentially muddy.

The village of Wilmcote near Stratford-upon-Avon was home to Mary Arden, mother of William Shakespeare. Our walk will pass by her house which is maintained by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Currently the Mary Arden House & Farm are closed to the public.

Our walk will take us at an easy pace through fields and woods and along a stretch of the Stratford Canal back to Wilmcote.
