  • Approx Distance 9 Miles
  • TerrainWe shall be using mostly public footpaths with a two stretches of public highway. A couple of steep but short inclines - hence the classification of this walk as 'moderate' (inevitable when walking this magnificent escarpment!).

A footpath walk with occasional stiles.  Magnificent views of unspoilt Shropshire.  Before lunch, we shall be enjoying open countryside with a close-up view of a Tudor manor house before passing through the picturesque village of Easthope.  Then, after lunch, our route follows the wooded Shropshire Way/Jack Mytton Way along a former railway track as it descends the scarp face of Wenlock Edge.  We get occasional sightings of the glorious Shropshire Hills before making the steep ascent back to the cars.
