A classic walk along the top of the famous white cliffs of Dover, with views over the Channel to France.

The walk begins with views of the spectacular Dover castle, then we walk uphill to look down on the port of Dover from the clifftop, walk across rolling countryside past a historic lighthouse and descend to St Margarets Bay for a lunch break and a swim if you wish.

After ascending the cliffs (again !) the walk descends gradually to sea level and follows the coast past Walmer and Deal castles into the charming town of Deal.

The walk ends with tea at the walk leader's house, which is a short walk from Deal station for trains back to Dover and on to London. Stay on for fish and chips at the seaside if you want!
