This walk covers 3 sections of South East London's Green Chain Walk

We will pass through Avery Hill Park with it's Winter Palace, then onto Tarn Bird Sanctuary for a coffee stop (no cafe so bring a thermos), Elmstead Woods over the River Ravensbourne and into Beckenham Place Park. There is a cafe here so hot and cold drinks should be available.  Then on through Cator Park, parts of Penge then up the hill to finish in Crystal Palace Park.

You can finish in Beckenham if you wish after 8 miles.

Lots of parks, woods and quiet residental roads. Also some quite interesting buildings and history to discover today.

Paths are good but after recent rain a bit damp with some leaf mulch too!    Sturdy trainers or boots suggested.
