Little Walsingham
A varied walk of 8 miles around arguably Norfolk's prettiest village where one of England's two greatest pilgrimages has been revived in the twentieth century.
We shall walk past Little Walsingham's little sister, Great walsingham, cross over the wide ford and then take the "high ground" around to the north-east with glimses of the North Sea and distant church towers. The second half of the walk will explore the lovely woods and modest hills of the Abbey estate which shelters the village and overlook the most attractive part of the little River Stiffkey. Two viewpoints will be visited and a picnic lunch taken at one of these.
