Effingham Junction to Westhumble (10 miles)
Today's walk is about 10 miles long and is situated in the North Downs of Surrey. Despite its proximity to London, our walk pases through a rural and tranquil landscape of commons, hidden valleys, woodland, and gentle pasture.
Polesden Lacey, a fine country house nestling just behind the North Downs escarpment managed by the National Trust, St Barnabas' church at Ranmore and Denbies, the largest vineyard by area in the UK, are highlights of this walk.
Looking over the North Downs escarpment, we will have fine views over Holmesdale to Leith Hill and the Greensand Hills, and towards he end of the walk to Boxhill across the Mole Valley.
