Seventeen of East Anglia’s finest gathered in Wells-next-the-sea for an 8 mile walk from the town, through the Holkham Hall Park and grounds and finally back to the delightful town along the coastal path and through the pines. We managed to fit in a visit to the church, the famous walled garden and the imposing obelisk. It was a real pleasure to welcome some new and returning walkers and to share with them an interesting and varied walk, which included some fascinating and unexpected historical commentary.
Above all, we had lovely weather, great company, lots of conversation and laughter and a delicious spread of tea and cakes, provided by our new guide, Tony.
