Paxton Pits is a 77 hectare Nature Reserve that has developed from abandoned gravel pit workings and is renowned for its birds and insects.

The walk takes in multiple diverse landscapes within a small geographical area which includes the Nature Reserve, the Great Ouse, woodland, open fields and a working quarry.
