Larkin & Dickens walk
We’ll begin by walking up to the village to see The Larkin Monument, which honours Charles Larkin (1775–1833) for his role in promoting the Parliamentary Reform of 1832. From there, we’ll pass by Gads Hill Place, once the home of Charles Dickens, before heading out into the countryside.
Our route takes us towards Shorne Woods, where we’ll stop at the café (if open). We’ll then continue through Shorne Village before making our way back to the start.
