We had a very pleasant visit to this elegant country house with highly distinctive gardens developed over many centuries, brimming with bright Christmas colours, sparkling lights and festive scenes.
We all gathered and following introductions, made our way to the house, which was indeed most impressive. The last owner was a 'Friend of Dorothy' and the decor certainly had a flambouyant air to it. The lights and other decorations were really well done and it was most enjoyable.
Before exploring the grounds and admiring the exterior of the house, we adjourned to the cafe for some very tasty hot chocolates and seasonal sweet things. We spent a lot of time chatting and enjoying each other's company, which is the most important part of any such event.
We were joined by members of the Southern Counties Gay Men’s Walking Group, some of whom are now considering joining GOC.
Photo credits to Bernardo - we were very impressed with his expertise in using the 'add me' feature in his camera!
