Uphill and down Thames in Henley
A mesmerising meander of approximately eight miles out and up from Henley-on-Thames to artist John Piper's village of Fawley, with a return along the (hopefully sparkling) Thames. There is a fine window by Piper in Fawley church and he lies buried there. We will take in views of Temple Island, at the start of the regatta course; and also of Fawley Court, which was reputedly designed by Sir Christopher Wren.
