Glen Sherup (Ochil Hills)
A circular walk around the hills above Glen Sherup
A circular walk over the hills on either side of Glen Sherup, including the popular summit of Ben Shee, the Donalds of Innerdownie and Tarmangie Hill, and the Glendevon Woodlands. About 16km (10 miles, 650m of ascent.) If the weather is clear we will have good views over the Forth Valley and north to the higher mountains of the Southern Highlands.
The route has a couple of steep climbs and descents, is rough in parts and it could be muddy in sections after rain. Good boots, waterproof jacket and trousers, some layers of warm clothing may be required, depending on the weather.
I've graded this as a mountain walk as the highest altitude is over 2000ft, but the walk is at the easier end of this grade.
We'll follow the Walkhighlands route for this walk.
