Linlithgow to East Calder Linear Walk

This is a linear walk between Linlithgow railway station and East Calder to give support to David Stockwell on day 26 of his epic John O'Groats to Lands End walk.  The walk will make use of train services at the two ends to make the linear walk viable.  If you come by car, you can return to the start point at about half way (roughly Broxburn).

The route uses the Forth and Clyde canal towpath as far as Broxburn.  There's a short distance on tarmac lanes to Almondell Country Park, which we cross to East Calder, where David finishes his stage.  Its about a mile further to the station at Kirknewton, where we can pick up trains back to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

About 13 miles.  largely flat so should give fairly fast walking - about 4 to 5 hours.
