Mere-ly a walk
This is an eight mile walk from Mere in south Wiltshire to Stourhead, before ascending White Sheet hill and descending paths back to Mere.
There will be an option to climb castle hill. Also called Mere castle, this was a medieval fortification built in 1253 and on a good day affords fine panoramic views.
In fact, good views should be had from most parts of this walk.
