Beachamwell and Oxborough
A seven mile level walk through open and wooded countryside, along a mix of paths and quiet lanes. Four churches are linked in this walk. One is undergoing extensive repair but now has at least its new thatched roof, one is a ruin, another is almost ruinous and the fourth is intact. The walk starts in one historic village with a lunch stop in another with its late medieval house and estate.
Boots are recommended as part of the route is near the R. Gadder and is very boggy as are some of the droves.
