JOGLE Day 77 Bridgwater to Nether Stowey
0Today we are walking on minor roads
We leave Bridgwater on West Street, Durleigh Road and Spaxton Road to Spaxton
We then turn right on Pearwater Road, which ends in a Y or T junction just past Radlet Cottages. We take left and then a right at next Y junction, which may be going with the main road.
At Halsey Cross we turn left towards Marsh Mills, where we turn right on South Street. This will take us into Nether Stowey.
It was whilst staying in Nether Stowey, Samuel Coleridge, the Romantics poet, wrote some of his best poetry including The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan. Where he stayed is now called Coleridge Cottage.
