This walk was planned for 2022 and 2023 but had to be postponed (twice!) due to bad weather. Hopefully we will have good weather this time (although an alternative walk is available should the weather be unsuitable for walking on the open moor).

The walk takes us from the village of Postbridge on to the high moor and the beautiful East Dart waterfall.

There are moorland paths for most of the way.  The outward leg of the walk follows a long steady incline and we will be walking across open moorland and through marshy damp ground as well as crossing some small streams. Strong waterproof footwear is recommended.

We will cross the river on the rocks at the waterfall before looping back to our start point in Postbridge. If the river is flowing too strongly for us to cross we will retrace our steps to the starting point.
