Another great week in Mallorca now seems but a distant memory.  Mallorca was warm and dry!

The trip was timed to coincide with an event organised by Cycleout, a gay cycling group centred on London.  There are several overlapping memberships with GOC.  The result was 52 gay men all in one place, some rather younger than the GOC average.

Mallorca is a great place for walking, with some spectacular mountains and some great beach-side cafés.  A botanist’s delight too.  We have a member who lives there part of the year to add some local knowledge, but there are good guide books too.  There’s a good bus system, but hiring a car might add greater flexibility next time.

For the cyclists, the larger group enabled trips for a range of abilities to be organised, and made it feasible to hire a bus to get back from the fabled Cap de Formentor, the extreme north-east of the island, which otherwise is just a bit too far.
