We had an excellent turnout for this month's West Kent walk from Linton led by Mark Tomkins. The outward stretch took us along part of The Greensand Way to Boughton Monchelsea where we briefly stopped at St. Peter's Church to admire the ancient lychgate and the extensive views over Linton Park and the Weald beyond.

A large fallen tree made a welcome and convenient lunch stop (see photos). Now in the valley below, we continued our circular route through fields, and along lanes before an uphill stretch to return to the start at Linton.

A welcome customary drink or two awaited us at The Bull at the end of the walk.

Many thanks to Mark for expertly planning and leading the walk, and thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so enjoyable.
