The Campsie Fells and Earl's Seat
A hill walk in the Campsie Fells to Earl's Seat.
The Campsie Fells are a range of hills that rise between Stirling and Glasgow. Earl's Seat is the highest point in the range and we will climb this hill along with the volcanic plug of Dumgoyne from the distillery at Glengoyne. This is a fairly easy hill walk of about 7 miles/11km with 710m of ascent. The route is steep in places, especially on Dumgoyne (this can be avoided if necessary though), the paths will be rough in places and could be muddy. Good walking boots will be required plus some warm clothes.
If there is time we can make a visit to the distillery afterwards.
The route is taken from the Walkhighlands website - https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/glasgow/dumgoyne-earls-seat.shtml
