Yealmpton
A figure of eight route centred on the village of Yealmpton. Both legs can be tackled independently if a shorter walk is desired.
First leg (4 miles) begins with pavement walking through the village towards Brixton, soon joining a fine new path, Silverbridge Way, before linking up with the Erme Plym trail across farmland and woodland. Quiet country lanes return us to Yealmpton for our lunch stop. Bring a packed lunch.
Second leg (2 miles) is a shorter loop over easy terrain and meanders along both sides of the river Yealm as far as Puslinch bridge.
Refreshments afterwards at a good local garden centre.
