Starting at Penshurst, this walk explores the lush Eden valley, following an old track, field paths and woodland trails to the charming and timeless National Trust village of Chiddingstone, where both the church, historic Castle Inn and Chiding Stone are well worth a visit. The return route passes through the Penshurst Estate, crossing some fine parkland and good views of the mansion and the delightful surrounding countryside.
