A walk in the Pentland Hills from Hillend.

For our Xmas social walk we will return to the Pentland Hills, which are easily accessible from Edinburgh by public transport.

An eight mile walk from the Pentland ski centre car park at Hillend, climbing Cearketton Hill, Allermuir Hill, and Castlelaw Hill. We will pass the Souterrain at Castlelaw, which is well worth a look in. About Eight miles, 4 - 5 hours walking. This is a hill walk so expect some steep climbs and descents plus muddy paths after rain.
