A small but cheerful group of 8 spent a fresh but mainly sunny day doing a postponed walk of a little over 8 miles in a peaceful part of the New Forest, through woods full of fallen trees after those winter storms.
We stopped for lunch in the honeypot village of Burley, a favorite haunt of witches and fairies. Back in Bournemouth afterwards the walkers enjoyed Gareth's home-made soup and Daavid's home-made cake.
