This is a pleasant route mainly along South East London's Green Chain walk network.

Our route starts at Eltham station and initially follows a series of suburban roads to reach Jack Wood, where we make a steep ascent to the folly of Severndroog Castle. Following a wooded parkland section of walk we will arrive at the Oxleas café, from where there are views over towards the North Downs and possibly time to have morning coffee. We then enter part of Oxleas Woods, which is an ancient woodland, and go through a series of open spaces including East Wickham Open Space, Lesnes Abbey Woods and finally Bostall Woods. We finally descend to reach the River Thames which we follow for about 1 km to our destination in Erith.
