This joint walk with the London and Surrey groups will be led by Patrick Lynchehaun. It is a ten mile figure of eight walk the first half being 6 miles with 4 stiles.
The route will take us across Epsom Racecourse towards Langley Vale where the Woodland Trust has created a First World War Centenary Wood as this area was used for army training.
The contains statues a large wooden sculpture and an area dedicated to the battle of Jutland. From there we head towards Mere Pond by Banstead Heath where anyone not wanting to do the additional 4 miles can return to the start point along a direct path to the Racecourse.
The remainder of the walk will be a small circuit of Banstead Heath before returning to the start point.
