Five of us braved the cold and turned up for this Surrey mid-week walk. It was a beautiful five and a half mile stroll through gorgeous Chobham and Longcross, areas we haven’t ventured in before!
Expertly led by the fabulous Gordon, we were surrounded by miles and miles of luscious heathland, albeit rather muddy but that didn’t detract from the stunning landscape.
As always with Gordon, the walk was educational and the highlight was the monument erected in honour of Queen Victoria- it lays on the spot where she addressed 4,000 troops back in 1853!
