This was our second visit to West Green House in the last year and it didn't disappoint. There was a very good turnout with 18 members and a visitor from another walking group. The gardens are not extensive and at this time of the year the colours are more subdued than in the spring when all the garden's magnificent tulips are in bloom. The roses were nearly over but there was enough colour to make the visit worthwhile.
The garden design itself is most attractive and is connected by pathways that lead you seamlessly from one section of the garden to another and which eventually lead you back to the entrance and its welcoming cafe. Although the walk around the gardens was fairly short it suited well a number of our members who are recovering from various operations and other ailments. We wish them well in their recovery.
After the walk members gathered at the cafe for light refreshments and a good catch up.
Thanks to all those who came on the garden visit. I hope you enjoyed it despite the heat on one of the hottest days of the year.
Kind regards
Simon
