Circular walk at Watlington Hill.

On a breezy but sunny afternoon 22 walkers descended on the Watlington Hill National Trust car park for the start of Andrew Walker's circular 6 mile walk through the green and leafy South Chiltern country side. Our undulating walk on dry footpaths was a pleasure. And not many brambles or stinging nettles was a relief! The walk offered a medley of distant views and woodland glades. The walkers' ability to manage steep hills was certainly tested but all rose to the challenge very well. One or two of our members were offered the option of a diversion which bypassed the steepest part of the walk and this  was certainly appreciated.

The walk over we descended on the Fox and Hounds pub at Christmas Common for a hearty meal and plenty of banter. Thank you Andrew for leading us all on this walk. Much appreciated.
