Report by David Roberts
The day started off bright and sunny with light winds. There was just 3 of us on the walk and we headed out from the car park near the dam. We started off by walking across the dam and stopped to take photos of the reservoir and the lovely views while the weather was good.
We followed the main footpath which was easily marked by red arrows. We headed into the forest and then started to climb until we came out of the forest and into the open with great views. We finally reached the highest point of the walk and stopped to take photos of the wondeful views of the mountains in the distance before heading down to the footbridge which goes over the reservoir at the far end.
We stoped here for lunch next to the lake in a nice quiet spot and sheltered from the winds. After having a nice break for 20 minutues it turned more cloudy and we lost the sun so we headed off again into the forest and carried on around the reservoir folloing the red maker posts and back to the start of our walk at the car park.
A video of the walk can be found here.
