This month's walk was from Chipstead, near Sevenoaks. Twelve members gathered at the start on Chipstead village green. Luckily, it was a dry day, after the previous day's heavy rain, if a bit muddy underfoot.
We headed towards Otford then along the Darenth valley for a short section. We climbed the steep slope towards Polhill Bank, with some fantastic views, and our lunch stop.
After lunch, continuing along paths and tracks past the former MOD research site at Fort Halstead before dropping back down to Chevening and then on Chipstead where a visit to the Bricklayers Arms was, of course, due!
Thanks to Julian Smith for doing an excellent job of leading the walk and ensuring those at the back didn't get lost (ie. me, chatting!).
