S. Mids – Wonderful walk and free tea and cake!

On a lovely sunny morning 21 walkers assembled on the village green in Adderbury, where Mark had thoughtfully arranged for a Morris Dancing display to entertain us prior to departure.
We left the village at break neck speed so we were real ready for a rest near a mini windmill.

Having caught our breath there was even more lively conversation as the walk continued through lovely rolling countryside, to our lunch stop on the playing field in Bloxham.

Whilst everything about the walk was great, the highlight had to be the tea and many cakes served by the GCs mother’s cousin in her beautiful garden. After which we returned along the stream to the start point where some sought out a different type of liquid refreshment!

Thanks go to Mark for another great walk and to “the cake lady” and her assistant.
