Continuing our series of Cotswold Outlier walks, this time we circumnavigated Meon Hill near Mickleton at the northern end of the Cotswolds. The walk was about 7.5 miles with some stunning views out along to the Vale of Evesham.
22 hearty souls, on a bright Autumn day, rambled sections of the Heart of England Way and the Monarch’s Way rounding Meon Hill onto Mickleton, finally chugging our way up a bugger of a hill to the private Garden at Kiftsgate and onto NT Hidcote for a rewarding cuppa and a piece of cake.
Many thanks to John and Guy for this beautiful walk and liasing with NT Hidcote for the use of their car park, facilities and cafe. Very much appreciated.
