Garsington, East Oxford – 13th April 2022

Hi Gang

Today was Andrew D's day. Having been joined by 6 of us, (three having travelled from Twickenham, Alton Hants, and Birmingham) we left his home area and followed the near level field paths to the foot of Garsington Hill. At first the church, our destination, appeared low on the sky line in among the trees. The further we walked and it rose to become the dominant feature.

Having climbed to the church we had plenty of seats to views across to the Wessex Downs, Chiltern Hills and Wittenham Clumps -everyone took their time exploring the interior.

Rested, onwards we followed the high ground - Garsington Manor with cottages, farm houses all built of the local "Corallian Limestone" before making our decent.

Andrew D had been busy opening his home to us, putting on an afternoon tea, Hot Cross Buns and cake. Reluctant to leave, some had long journeys home.

Again thanks to Paul for organising along with Andrews efforts.
