Devon members enjoyed a clear day and unbroken sunshine for an ascent of the two highest tors on Dartmoor.
A steady climb was rewarded by superb panoramic views, it really did seem like we were on top of the world when we stopped to enjoy our picnic lunch at Yes tor.
On the way down some people diverted to investigate the remains of a narrow guage railway used by the military for carrying targets along.
Afterwards we retired to the 'Pump and Pedal' and enjoyed the quirky combination of bicycle sales and repair shop, bar and tea rooms. The shady garden was most welcome and the avocado and carrot cake delicious.
