On the last occasion for the time being we will be able to have more than 6 on a walk, we were blessed with sunshine, blue skies and ideal conditions for walking. The flat countryside around Wootton Wawen made progress easy, which was appreciated by our less ambitious participants. However, we were still able to get a surprising variety of landscapes from wide open vistas across typical English countryside to shaded woodlands and canal towpaths. The highlight was our traversal of the Edstone Aqueduct, the longest aqueduct in England (but not of course in the UK). Members enjoyed the opportunity to meet up with fellow walkers they'd not seen for a while and so we hope 'the rule of 6' will be a short-lived affair when better times do finally arrive.
