Amber the ‘wind-warning’ may have been but it was certainly not a deterrent to the 19 souls, including 2 welcome new members, who set out from Droitwich rail station to explore Droitwich and Dodderhill Parish.
Walking alongside the Droitwich Barge Canal and the river Salwarpe through Vines Park gave us the opportunity to take in the local history so well documented on the various information boards.
An enjoyable walk with good company and for most part winter sunshine – even allowing us sit and consume our lunchtime ‘snap’ by the not so bonny banks of said river. Just under an hour from our end point the sky began to look like a real threat to our dry comfort but we managed to finish the walk, dry and before storm Isha hit.
