After many days of rain the Devon Group struck lucky for their monthly walk on Sunday 3rd November.
On a pleasant sunny morning the group gathered in the lovely coastal town of Teignmouth before setting out along the coastal footpath that sits atop the sea wall just between the beach and the main rail line - one of the most picturesque stretches of rail travel in the country!
The group climbed briefly in land before descending to Dawlish (home of the famous black swans) for a well earned lunch break.
Then a further stretch of coastal footpath took us on to Dawlish Warren where some members of the group took the train back to Teignmouth whilst others opted for the local bus service.
A most enjoyable walk with beautiful views over the sea and a fitting way to end our organised walks for 2019.
Next stop - the groups famous Christmas meal on 7th December.
