Upham Circular (August 2018)

11 members from a wide area, including one new one, gathered outside St. Mary’s Church, Upham for a 9 mile figure of eight walk led by Richard.

Heading NW out of the village before returning close to the start point and then heading away crossing rolling countryside and gallops at Stephen’s Castle Down and Dean Farm.

After passing through the hamlet of Dean, we crossed the B3035 and descended on the Hampshire Bowman pub, Dundridge where most walkers enjoyed a hearty Sunday roast and sampled a selection of their wide range of beer and ciders.

Well fortified,we retraced our route for a short distance before crossing large recently harvested corn fields and returning to the village pond at Upham.
