Twixmas walkies around Corfe Castle

We enjoyed a rare break in the wet and windy weather on Thurs 28 December for our twixmas walk which was also the first of our new Thursday programme. Blue skies and light winds afforded stunning views of the Jurassic coast as we emerged from Kingston woods onto the Hounstout cliff. Descending to the picturesque Chapmans Pool we picked up the Purbeck way leading us across Corfe common into the village of Corfe Castle. After a hearty lunch at the Courtyard Cafe we strolled back across the common and up into Kingston woods for the return.
