The sun shone all day on the righteous small band who might have been hand picked for this excursion to experience different building styles, historical features and even a vintage car museum. We meandered like the Finham brook through Kenilworth exploring the old town and Abbey, the lakeside, the common and a preserved meadow and a train line once I found it. The planned walk time was exceeded and indeed the mileage. This was due to the leisurely walking pace and ability to modify the walk to further include areas of interest to the attendees. Although one member needed to peel off to make a pre arranged timed visit to the castle, the rest voted to continue over time because they were enjoying themselves in the glorious sunshine. Some of us were able to sit and take refreshments afterwards outside enjoying the waiter service before heading home.
