Our Devon Group Co-ordinator, Mike Flack, led nine members on Tuesday 11th August and another nine members on Sunday 16th August on this Stover and River Teign walk.
The Sunday group welcomed two new members to the group, and two visiting members who were on holiday in the area.
After walking around part of Stover Lake, which was teeming with wildfowl, our path headed through woodland and along quiet country roads towards the river Teign, where we sat on the riverbank for our picnic lunch.
The walk included part of the towpath of the abandoned Stover canal which was once used to transport clay and granite.
We eventually arrived back at Stover and around the rest of the lake before returning to our cars, and reflecting on a very enjoyable walk.
