A group of 9 intrepid walkers met up for a circular walk around the village of Sparkwell. The weather was not as kind as it might have been with several torrential showers.

The rain held off for our lunch stop at Cornwood Church before we set off again. We had to navigate through some minor floods across some of our route and diverted onto a surfaced road when the planned route looked a little too challenging!

Despite the damp we still had an enjoyable walk and the afternoon was rounded off splendidly by tea and cake kindly provided by walk leader Mike. Many thanks to him for the hospitality!
